Kygo Is More Uplifting Than Ever on ‘Never Let You Go’ With John Newman: Listen

As summer fades into autumn and the days get shorter, its easy to get swept up in a wintery gloom, but you can fight that feeling with Kygo‘s new song “Never Let You Go,” featuring UK soul-pop singer John Newman.

It’s a shot of sunshine to the heart, a call to adventure in the form of a pounding beat and inspiring piano and acoustic guitar. “Never Let You Go” has a tinge of folk and American country pop, as Kygo continues to be inspired by the work of his idol Avicii, though you haven’t quite heard a hook like this before. It’s a little bit quirky and a whole lot of fun.

Dance fans should recognize John Newman’s gritty, honest voice from Calvin Harris‘ “Blame.” The song is the second release from Kygo’s forthcoming album Kids in Love, following the title track which he shared on Oct. 20. The producer has promised to unveil quite a few songs in the build up to the Nov. 3 release of the LP, which Kygo has said it’s his most diverse work to date.

“Never Let You Go” is out everywhere on Sony Music / Ultra Records. Listen to it below.
